According to a report by Bain & Company, Indian SaaS companies are expected to see 20-25% annual growth and reach $35 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 2027. The report states that Indian SaaS companies will account for 8% of the global market share in the segment.
Indian SaaS companies have seen a four-fold increase in their ARR over the past five years and 14 out of 1,600 funded companies now have ARR exceeding $100 million. The growth of the Indian SaaS ecosystem has attracted a record-breaking
investment of $5.1 billion in 2022, a 20% increase from 2021. However, the investment momentum has slowed down in the later stages as some of the largest Indian SaaS companies choose not to raise funds in the current market conditions. Indian investors continue to support a diverse range of companies across the horizontal business, horizontal infrastructure, and vertical SaaS sectors.
